Truck Driver, Class A CDL driver

About the Role

Class A CDL drivers will operate Tractor/Trailers on both local and distance runs, transporting equipment to tradeshows and events locally and out of state. Drivers will also handle loads obtained from various load boards. During non-driving times, drivers may be required to assist with freight handling and operational responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Drive company equipment professionally and safely at all times.
• Maintain accurate Hours of Service records using a company-provided ELD.
• Deliver products to specified locations in a timely manner.
• Unload and stack products courteously for customers.
• Complete delivery paperwork as required.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
• Assist with warehouse or delivery duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
• Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA standards.
• Demonstrate attention to detail.
• Handle freight and operational responsibilities during non-driving times.

Requirements

• Must be 25 years old.
• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, background, and DOT record.
• Must pass company driving test(s).
• Must successfully complete DOT Physical, pre-employment drug screening, Clearinghouse query, and ongoing drug testing as mandated by the Department of Transportation/FMCSA.
• Ability to frequently lift 75 lbs and push, pull, or move weight with proper equipment.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and schedules.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.
