About the Role
Class A CDL drivers will operate Tractor/Trailers on both local and distance runs, transporting equipment to tradeshows and events locally and out of state. Drivers will also handle loads obtained from various load boards. During non-driving times, drivers may be required to assist with freight handling and operational responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive company equipment professionally and safely at all times.
- Maintain accurate Hours of Service records using a company-provided ELD.
- Deliver products to specified locations in a timely manner.
- Unload and stack products courteously for customers.
- Complete delivery paperwork as required.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections.
- Assist with warehouse or delivery duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA standards.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Handle freight and operational responsibilities during non-driving times.
Requirements
- Must be 25 years old.
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record, background, and DOT record.
- Must pass company driving test(s).
- Must successfully complete DOT Physical, pre-employment drug screening, Clearinghouse query, and ongoing drug testing as mandated by the Department of Transportation/FMCSA.
- Ability to frequently lift 75 lbs and push, pull, or move weight with proper equipment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and schedules.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED preferred.
