About the Role

We are dedicated to providing high-quality, sustainable flooring solutions and sundries to a wide range of customers, including residential and commercial contractors, subcontractors, and designers. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will drive and maintain assigned trucks, plan routes, and work closely with our team to track deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pull orders for delivery in a timely and safe manner.
  • Properly and efficiently unload cargo/trucks and check with Supervisor for next delivery instructions.
  • Complete Pre/Post Vehicle Inspections on a daily basis.
  • Maintain truck logs according to company policy and Federal/State regulations.
  • Fuel, wash, and maintain vehicles as required by Company policy.
  • Maintain contact with the Warehouse Manager as needed.
  • Safely and accurately operate warehouse equipment to load, unload, or disperse cargo and/or materials.
  • Physically inspect items for damage as needed or requested by the customer.
  • Inspect shipments/equipment as needed.
  • Contact supervisor if a customer wants to make changes to a delivery.
  • Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
  • Keep commercial driver license up to date.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
  • Plan routes to ensure the most economical use of time and equipment.
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL or commercial driver license.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Must provide a medical certificate.
  • Must not have "Automatic Transmission Restriction" on license; ability to drive a manual truck is required.
  • 2+ years of CDL driving experience.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.

  • Frequently required to sit, talk, and hear.
  • Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., 40 hours per week. Travel is primarily local during the business day.
