Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Wauseon, OH — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay
- Weekly pay: $1700 or more
- Hourly pay: $29.00 per hour (travel time)
- Hourly pay: $25.50 per hour (standard)
- Weekly guarantee: $1200
- Hours per week: 50 - 60
- Mileage reimbursement: $0.70 after 50 miles
- Paid training

About the Role
- Deliver solo to varying locations
- Route: OTR (Over-the-Road)
- Tractor types: Sleeper, Day Cabs, and 26' Straight Trucks
- Trailer types: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed (48', 53’)
- Equipment: Electric and Manual Pallet Jack (Ryder provides training)
- Freight: Touch – varies (cannot accommodate an automatic restriction)
- Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance
- Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide
- Covers multiple Ryder accounts

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
- Some positions may require additional screening, including employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
