Truck Driver CDL Class A Local No Touch Causal

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Casual Class A CDL Truck Driver in S. Elgin, IL. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a commercial vehicle
• Ensure compliance with safety & DOT Regulations
• Continuous training and customer service
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

• Experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle

Schedule

Part-Time Monday-Friday
Start Time: 4:00 AM - 6:30 AM or 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM
