Truck Driver CDL Class A

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
• Delivering merchandise via tractor-trailer
• Loading and unloading product
• Maintaining daily log and keeping all paperwork organized.
• Attention to detail and ensuring all product is accounted for.
• Filling up on fuel, and clean truck as required and needed
• Reporting any incidents to the Traffic Manager that are encountered on or off the road.
• Inspecting the trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects.
• Keeping the truck, and associated equipment, clean and in good working order.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience driving as a CDL Class A driver
• CDL Class A driver’s license in good standing
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Medical DOT Card up to date and active
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Able to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Able to work as needed

$27.30 per hour
