About the Role
Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Sparks, NV. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) featuring 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.
Route details: daily runs in Nevada using a 26' straight truck. Equipment includes pallet jacks, stair walkers, and forklifts. Freight involves heavy-touch medical supplies. A TWIC card is preferred but not required—Ryder will reimburse.
Pay
Hourly pay: $25.50 per hour for 40+ hours per week.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, with start times that vary.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class B verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
