About the role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a regional solo account delivering retail hardware supplies across MN, SD, ND, NE, and IL. Drivers operate well-maintained sleepers (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations. Equipment includes 32', 48', and 53' dry vans and occasional 48'/53' reefers, with manual pallet jacks and lift gates provided. Ryder trains on all required equipment. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire; Ryder reimburses costs and provides training support.

Pay

• Weekly pay — $1,770 or more per week
• Solo mileage: $0.64 per mile (2,000+ miles per week)
• Solo stops: $25.75 per stop (15 stops per week average)
• Per diem: $50.00 per night (1–2 nights per week)
• Paid training

Schedule

• 50+ hours per week
• Monday – Friday
• Start time: 3:00 AM – 5:00 AM

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements
• Verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience (one of the following):
  • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years within the past 5 years, OR
  • 5 years within the past 10 years
• Pass Ryder drug test
• Pass Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass DOT physical
• Pass Ryder road test
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
