Truck Driver CDL A Solo Regional

About the role

Ryder is now hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in various locations including Milton, PA and domiciliary locations such as Buffalo NY, Boston MA, New Haven CT, Hartford CT, Greenville SC, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA, and Jacksonville FL. The position offers a weekly pay rate ranging from $1769 to $2198, mileage pay of $0.67 per mile, stop pay of $10 per stop (less than 10 stops), and layover pay of $30 per night out. Drivers also receive route premium pay and uniforms, cell phones, and boot allowances.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Able to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Pay

• $90,000 - $92,000 yearly
• Weekly pay range: $1769 - $2198
• Mileage pay: $0.67 per mile
• Stop pay: $10 per stop (less than 10 stops) or $15 per stop (more than 10 stops)
• Layover pay: $30.00 per night out
• Route premium pay
