Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Floater Truck Driver in Waco, Texas. Deliver solo on regional routes to TX, LA, OK, AR, KS, CO, and NM with well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) and 24/7 roadside maintenance. Tractor type: sleeper; trailer type: dry van (48' or 53') equipped with lift gate and pallet jacks. Freight involves touching hardware equipment. Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire.
Pay
$1,325 or more per week, paid weekly.
- Solo miles pay: $0.52 per mile with 2,000 miles per week
- Solo stops pay: $19.00 per stop with 10–20 stops per week
- Paid training
Schedule
- Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday
- 5–6 days per week
- Start time varies by route

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
