Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Erlanger, KY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay
- Weekly pay: $1,700 (top earners can make $1,800+ per week)
- Daily pay: $340.00 per day
- While working other accounts: $400–$500 per day
- Sign-on bonus: $1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days
Schedule
- 7-day operation with 2 days off per week
- Start time: AM or PM dispatch
- Home daily with occasional overnight stays
About the Role
- Deliver solo to IL, IA, MI, IN, OH, TN, and WV
- Route: Local, primarily home daily
- Tractor type: Sleeper, day cab, or yard truck as needed
- Trailer type: Bulk tanker, flatbed, and dry van (48' or 53')
- Ryder provides training on all required equipment
- Freight: Touch varies; load securement required
- Hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred
- Operate well-maintained trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
- Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
- Some positions may require additional screening, such as employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, and customer-specific badging or background requirements
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
