Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Georgetown, KY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

About the role

Deliver solo on a local route with daily home time. Tractor type: day cab. Trailer type: dry van 53’. Freight: no touch – auto parts. Strong backing skills required. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide.

Pay

Drivers on this account earn $940 or more weekly. Hourly rate: $23.56 per hour. Paid weekly.

Schedule

Monday – Friday. Start time: 5:15 PM.

Requirements

  • 9 months or less of CDL driving experience
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle registration check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
  • Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Note: Some positions require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate records and logs
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) regarding the checking in and out of freight
  • Perform other duties as assigned
