Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Berea, OH — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay
- $1,700 average weekly pay
- $2,000 sign-on bonus ($1,000 at 30 days and $1,000 at 90 days)
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.63 per mile with 1,000–2,300 miles per week
- Solo Stops Pay: $40.00 per stop with 1–14 stops per week
- Per Diem Pay: $40.00 per night with 2–4 nights per week
- Paid training
Schedule
- 7-day operation, home for 34-hour reset
- Start time: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Route & Equipment
- Deliver solo from IA to East Coast
- Local/regional route
- Tractor: Sleeper
- Trailer: Dry Van 53’
- Equipment: Electric Pallet Jack
- Ryder provides training on all required equipment
- Freight: Tailgate deliveries (windows and sunrooms)
- Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance
- Company drivers fuel up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
