About the Role

Ryder is hiring a Class A Truck Driver in Newville, PA, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

Pay

• $1550 Weekly Guarantee
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.64 per mile with 1000+ miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $15.00 per non-touch stop and $40.00 per touch stop
• Safety Bonus: $500 paid quarterly (four times a year)
• Per Diem: $25.00 per night out (1-2 nights out per week)

Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday or Monday – Friday
• Start Time: 3:45 PM - 8:00 AM
• Home Daily/Regional

Route and Equipment

• Deliver SOLO to: PA, MD, NJ, NY (No Burroughs), VA, WV, CT, DE, MA, OH
• Tractor Type: Sleepers; Automatics
• Trailer Type: Dry Van, 53'
• Equipment: Manual Pallet Jack (Ryder provides training)
• Freight: Touch - Office Supplies

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance with federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detecting and minimizing safety hazards
• Maintaining accurate records and logs
• Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass Ryder Drug Test, Background Check, and Motor Vehicle Check
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements
• Class A verifiable experience:
  • 9 months within the past 3 years
  • 2 years within the last 5 years
  • 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and policies
