About the role

Ryder Drivers on this account earn $2,100 or more weekly, with the top 10% of drivers at this location making $120k+/yr. Drivers are paid weekly and operate regional OTR routes across 11 western states, delivering solo in day cab or sleeper tractors with dry van, reefer, or flatbed trailers (28’, 48’, 53’). Freight includes a combination of touch and no-touch loads. Equipment is well-maintained, 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations.

Pay

• Hourly Pay: $28.00 per hour base pay, plus an additional $1 for every 3 certifications/endorsements
• Overtime paid after 40 hours
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night for overnights on route (Ryder-booked hotel or sleeper)
• Paid travel
• Tenure Bonus: $1,000 each year you are with the company (Nov. 1 – Oct. 31)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (must be flexible)
• 40+ hours per week

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to accept automatic restrictions
• 3 months experience with doubles (if applicable)
• 6–9 months experience with flatbed equipment (if applicable)
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
