Truck Driver

Duties and Responsibilities

• Facilitate critical work, interoffice mail, packages, and product from buildings 1-6
• Facilitate jobs to meet/exceed company goals
• Deliver product between buildings as needed to meet/exceed company goals
• Alert department supervisors and lead on critical product when delivered
• Works effectively and responsibly with others
• Accomplish all job related paperwork in the most accurate, timely and ethical manner
• Communicates regularly to supervisors/managers, suggests procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment and communicates to supervisors/managers safety hazards and issues
• Properly handle and dispose all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by the EHS department
• Reports all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
• Performs job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Essential Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid Driver’s License and Safe Driving Record required
• Understanding of product flow as outlined on Critical Ship List, Month End List, and Manifold Tracker
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions and procedures accurately; to organize facts and figures; apply basic arithmetic
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for up to 9 hours a day
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment, assist other departments when workloads demand it, and effectively work with all levels of the organization
• Ability to prioritize work load; perform multiple tasks simultaneously, working under tight deadlines
• Problem solving where development of new solutions, methods, systems will result in impact on the company’s success
• Implement own recommendations and see projects through to completion
• Ability to work overtime and is flexible to work weekends when necessary

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
