Truck Driver

About the role

The Truck Driver reports to the Branch Manager/Warehouse Manager and works with the distribution team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate, and on‑time orders. The driver represents the company in a professional, safe, and cost‑effective manner, complying with DOT and other applicable regulations. This position is based at the branch location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing loading, securing items, and verifying shipping papers.
• Deliver orders via the most effective route to meet established time frames and customer needs.
• Document delivery accuracy and receipt of orders, report any discrepancies to the company.
• Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving‑record requirements; keep required safety, security, and quality documents.
• Maintain a safe driving record free of violations.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including safety initiatives and guidelines.
• Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc., to ensure safe, cost‑effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind.
• Maintain communication with the company during deliveries to receive updated instructions.
• Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties.
• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of work experience.
• Strong customer service and/or problem‑solving skills.
• Clean motor vehicle accident (MVA) record.
• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 75 lb.
• Requires long periods of sitting.
• Frequent ascent/descent from the truck during deliveries.
• Work‑area temperature may be affected by outside conditions.

Pay

Pay range: $15.00 – $28.84 per hour.
