Truck Driver

About the role

As a member of the Materials team, the Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a Lear‑branded truck, typically a commercial vehicle such as a tractor‑trailer, to deliver products to specified destinations on time. This includes adhering to all federal and state regulations, maintaining the vehicle in good condition, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, ensuring the safety of both the driver and other road users.
• Interact with customers and always maintain a professional demeanor.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to company policies and regulations.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any issues that may arise during transportation.
• Safely drive the truck to designated delivery locations and unload cargo according to customer requirements.
• Properly secure all cargo on the truck to prevent damage during transport.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• 1 year of OTR truck driving experience (including at least 6 months in the last year) OR 9 months OTR experience with a truck driving school.
• Compliance with all DOT driver qualifications.
• Clean driving record for three years.
• Updated medical card.
• Pass a drug test.
• Health and safety knowledge.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
