Truck Driver

About the role

Drive a vehicle with a capacity greater than 26,000 GVW. Main activities include the pick up or delivery of goods, packages, or equipment. May be required to load or unload contents of the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive a vehicle with a capacity greater than 26,000 GVW.
• Main activities include the pick up or delivery of goods, packages, or equipment.
• May be required to load or unload contents of the vehicle.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL drivers license, and keep it up to date.
• Aid in assembly/disassembly under supervision of crane operator.
• Must be able to be assigned the designated signalman to help the crane operator attach, lift, move, and set loads.
• Must follow direction from supervision and crane operator.
• Must be able to inspect pre-trip items on truck and trailer.
• Perform routine maintenance.
• Wear required personal protective equipment while performing work.
• Maintain positive attitude with customers.
• Plan routes using GPS system.
• Report road incidents to safety.
• Follow traffic laws.
• Inspect truck and record issues.
• Follow accident procedures.
• Keep an active log and log hours.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
• Have a clean driving record.

Requirements

• Be able to pass a DOT physical, drug and alcohol screen, and 7 year background check.
• Have basic mechanical skills.
• Have a flexible schedule, and be able to travel and work all days and times.
• The company operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• Must follow direction from supervision and crane operator.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL drivers license, and keep it up to date.
• Must be able to inspect pre-trip items on truck and trailer.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment while performing work.
• Must be able to report road incidents to safety.
• Must be able to follow traffic laws.
• Must be able to follow accident procedures.

• Must be able to plan routes using GPS system.
• Must be able to maintain a positive attitude with customers.
• Must have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of crane and rigging considerations (hitches, shackles, load angles, load weights, center of gravity, tag line, etc.).
