Truck Driver
Schedule
- Monday: 6:15am - 4:15pm
- Tuesday: 7am - 5pm
- Wednesday: 7:15am - 5:15pm
- Thursday & Friday: Flex Day shift hours
Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the truck driver is to operate an ROi vehicle for loading, delivery, and pick-up of various items, including supplies, mail, small pieces of equipment, lab specimens, food, pharmacy, x-rays, recycle, shred, biohazard, oxygen, and laundry.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- One to five years of supply delivery experience (preferred)
- Motor vehicles ranging in size of cars to straight trucks with gross weight up to 26,000 lbs
- Forklift, pallet jack (powered and non-powered), 2-wheel dolly, carts
- Class D license required, also acceptable licenses are Class A or Class B
What You Will Do
- Responsible for pick-up and delivery of all items required at the time of service
- All packages with tracking labels must be scanned by the ROi designated tracking system to the department or next step in the delivery process
- Utilize daily equipment in a safe & damage free manner, (scanning handheld, electric pallet jack, two-wheeler, vehicle, etc.)
- Conducts daily check in staging area for product that needs to go out for delivery that day
- Per specifications provided by ROi Transportation Leadership, the driver may be required to inspect the product before delivery
- All products must be delivered on the same day
- Maintains all paperwork required by DOT in accordance with the DOT standards (i.e. logbooks)
- Utilizes phone and hands-free cell phone devices to stay in contact with logistics office team for re-routing of product and for better customer service
- Performs a daily pre and post trip inspection of all equipment
