Duties and Responsibilities
- Meeting preparation, set up, attendance, and transcription
- Heavy public contact via telephone and in-person, including accurately directing inquiries and answering department-related technical questions
- Preparing reports, documents, charts, graphs, and presentations using Microsoft 2003 Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Inquiries and data entry into Access XP custom database
- Scheduling meetings
- Filing
- Copying
- Equipment use and maintenance
- Research and special projects
Education, Experience, Licensing
- Graduation from high school and four years of experience in public relations, customer service or clerical field
- The ability to type 45 wpm on a typing test administered by Lee County Human Resources
- Possession of a valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- The ability to pass a criminal background check
Supplemental Information
- Demonstration of computer related, written and verbal communication abilities in a timed simulation
- Attendance at evening meetings
- Spanish Language Skills preferred
Work Hours and Days
- Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Evening meetings are required
Emergency Response/Recovery Activities
- All County employees are required to work before, during, or after an emergency as needed
