Truck Driver
Duties
- Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) transporting equipment and/or construction materials (asphalt, aggregate, millings, etc.) from the gravel pit to the job site.
- May be required to load or unload truck.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 months Truck Driving experience.
- Commercial drivers' license or ability to obtain one once hired.
Qualifications
Employer will provide optional, free-of-charge transportation to worksites and lodging within close proximity to worksites (maximum 20 miles from worksites).
Benefits
- Reimbursement for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work if the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period.
- Paid reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work upon completion of the work contract or dismissal.
- Subsistence provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.
- Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
- All tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job will be provided at no charge.
- The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Pay
Min $30.83/hr. Some overtime hours may be available at $46.25/hr. Overtime applies after 40 hours worked per week. On state-funded projects in Minnesota, overtime is applied after 8 hours per day.
