Truck Driver

About the role

This position is responsible for delivering products to a specified route of customers on time with accuracy in a friendly and professional manner. You will drive, load, and unload trailers following Standard Operating Procedures (loading/unloading may account for up to 40% of total work), while meeting unit quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Correctly obtain paperwork and signatures upon delivery and return paperwork to the Administrator’s office
  • Check product when unloading
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers
  • Adhere to all safety requirements
  • Ensure facility is maintained and kept clean at all times to promote a safe work environment
  • Drive a lift truck meeting unit quality and productivity needs
  • Complete paperwork thoroughly and promptly
  • Perform all other duties as assigned accurately and courteously
  • Follow planned load reports and stage the proper material
  • Perform basic quality inspection of product prior to shipment

Requirements

  • Meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements
  • Possess a valid Class-A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Check in accordance with Cambria’s standards
  • Pass pre-employment substance abuse test as a safety-sensitive employee
  • Ability to operate van trailers or Conestoga flatbed trailers with a high degree of attention, skill, and dexterity to prevent damage to material and equipment
  • Ability to use power equipment safely and following proper instructions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records
  • Ability to understand basic math concepts
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Tact and diplomacy required in dealing with customers at delivery locations to enhance our organization’s reputation by ensuring courteous customer service
  • Familiarity with region and routes
  • Willing to accept responsibility for work assignments/duties and be held accountable for their successful completion
  • Able to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply appropriate use of personal protective equipment
  • Able to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends
  • 1 year of commercial driving experience in the class of vehicle operated

Physical Requirements

  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of buildings
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises
  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift

Task-Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

Provided by Cambria:

  • Steel-toed boots
  • Hearing protection
  • Cut-resistant gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • High-visibility vest
  • Hard hat
  • Respirator (employees who are required to wear a respirator must maintain a clean-shaven face in the area where the respirator seals to the skin)

Pay

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $25.00–$28.75. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This position may be eligible for a 15% shift differential, which would be applied to the base hourly rate for all hours worked during designated overnight shift periods.
