Job Summary
The primary function of this position includes moving and locating trailers and applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations while adhering to company policy and procedures.
Associate Responsibilities
- Drive a truck to move and/or locate trailers while applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations
- Maintain and update our yard management system through a computer/tablet in the truck
- Inspect trucks and trailers for defects prior to trips and the submission of reports indicating their conditions
- Complete pre/post safety inspections on all equipment to ensure it is in proper working order
- Auxiliary in establishing and maintaining safety and housekeeping in assigned areas
- Report problems in work area to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including the preferred work method
- Demonstrate good organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy and quality of work
- Demonstrate honest and ethical behavior
Required Education
A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid Class A CDL required; must be legally authorized and able to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Current D.O.T. physical required
- Minimum of 6 months of Class A CDL driving experience required
- Average hand/eye/foot coordination
- Ability to read fine print for extended periods of time
- Ability to positively interact with other associates
- Ability to adjust to doing multiple tasks
- Ability to work in a job with precise tolerance and standards
- Ability to work 10 or 12 hour shifts
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
- Strength: Light - frequently
- Movement: Climbing, reaching, kneeling, stooping
- Equipment: Trucks, Computer/tablet
- Working Conditions: Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions caused by the weather

This position has an On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities
