Truck Buyer - Full Size Pickup Specialist

About the role

HoneyCar is seeking a dedicated Truck Buyer with extensive knowledge of full-size pickup trucks (Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500/2500, GMC Sierra, etc.). This full-time, in-office position involves attending in-person auto auctions, evaluating vehicles for condition, value, and reconditioning needs, and making informed buying decisions based on market trends and resale performance.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and purchasing full-size pickup trucks
• Evaluating vehicles for condition, value, and reconditioning needs at in-person auto auctions
• Analyzing market trends, pricing data, and resale performance to make informed buying decisions
• Working closely with leadership, inventory, and reconditioning teams to ensure fast turn and strong margins
• Managing post-purchase documentation, titles, and inventory flow
• Maintaining strong relationships with auction partners and vendors

Requirements

• Experience buying vehicles, preferably trucks or high-demand inventory
• Strong knowledge of the full-size pickup market, including trims, engines, and common issues
• Ability to accurately assess vehicle condition under time pressure
• Comfortable traveling to auctions and working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong negotiation, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• On-site presence at the job site is required
• Frequent travel to regional auctions
• Travel required during the workweek
