Truck Body Welder/Fabricator

Essential Duties

• Understand and follow mechanical drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
• Assemble and weld steel, and operate fabrication machines safely and in compliance
• Experience with MIG welding required; Aluminum welding experience helpful but not required
• Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and stay updated on technical bulletins
• Maintain a safe and clean work area, reporting faulty or defective equipment or materials to supervisor
• Document work performed and recommend repair orders
• Provide guidance and oversee work of apprentice technicians as assigned
• Follow all federal, state, and local safety regulations such as OSHA, waste disposal, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Successful completion of background checks and drug screenings
