Truck Body Technician

About the role

Stevens Transport/Paragon Leasing, LP fully services heavy-duty commercial tractors and trailers out of our Dallas, Texas terminal and is hiring Truck Body Technicians to perform a various major and minor structural repair on diesel trucks, including frames, fiberglass, and sheet metal replacement. Responsibilities

• Collision repair
• Fabrication and welding
• Bondo work
• Installation and alignment of cab components
• Repairing damage to fiberglass, composites, steel, and aluminum
• Windshield replacements
• Priming, sealing, and painting
• Replacing fenders, panels, bumpers, and other body parts

Qualifications

• Must have your own tools
• 2+ years doing Bondo work
• 2+ years in collision repair
• Collision repair certification a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Collision repair experience on Kenworth, Freightliner, and Peterbilt trucks.

• Physical demands: Maneuvering around, in, on, and under trucks/tight spaces to properly inspect and diagnose problems; Standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body movements; Using hands to handle, control or feel; Climbing ladders, stairs, and platforms; Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking.
