Trimmer Operator Journeyman

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
  • Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
  • Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training.
  • Communicates with property owners about work to be done and responsibilities.
  • Maintains accurate records and reports on crew performance.
  • Controls crew costs and manages resources effectively.
  • Furnishes reports to supervisors on various operational aspects.
  • Assists in emergency situations to ensure safety and property protection.
  • Maintains equipment and performs necessary repairs.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT maintenance and inspection requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Understanding of line clearance industry drawings and symbols.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Organization and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to adjust to field requirements and take independent action.
  • Safe driving ability, especially with commercial vehicles.
  • Physical capability to handle heavy objects and work at heights.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 3120 hours of working experience in the line clearance industry.

Pre-Screen

Upon offer, employees may be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR check.

License & Certifications

  • A valid Commercial Driver's license (CDL) is required.
