Trim Technician - 3rd Shift

Performs duties to trim, fill, sand, and bond standard composite parts following shop orders, oral and written instructions, and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Ensures composite assemblies meet bonding cure specifications.
• Hand trims composite panels to meet quality requirements and engineering dimensions.
• Prepares composite surfaces by filling and sanding to a smooth finish.
• Uses small hand tools, sanders, drills, routers, adhesive applicators, calipers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
• Responsible for own work.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze-level WorkKeys certification.
• Textron Aviation’s blueprint reading class preferred.
• 6+ months of composites experience required.

Working Conditions

• Exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes, and liquids.
• Safety shoes and protective clothing may be required.
