Tribal Libraries, Archives & Museums (TLAM) & iSchool Library Manager

About the role

The position will be responsible for stewarding the iSchool program in Tribal Libraries, Archives & Museums (TLAM). This involves teaching in the Tribal Libraries, Archives & Museums curriculum. Specifically, it requires working with students to develop and maintain respectful, responsible, and reciprocal relationships with longstanding community partners through ongoing experiential learning projects.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the Tribal Libraries, Archives & Museums curriculum
• Work with students to develop and maintain respectful, responsible, and reciprocal relationships with community partners through experiential learning projects
• Manage the iSchool Laboratory Library
• Collaborate with a collections librarian and supervise student staff to oversee library operations and user services
• Serve as the subject liaison for library and information studies and information sciences

Requirements

A candidate for the position will have a developed understanding of information issues and practices and experience working in Indigenous information and community contexts.
