Tribal Apprenticeship Program - Southern Ute Members Only - Open Until Filled
Purpose and Scope of Program
Under the oversite of the Apprentice Committee, The Permanent Fund administers an Apprenticeship Program (Program), providing education, training, on-the-job experience, and mentoring to eligible Southern Ute Tribal members. Apprentices have the responsibility to comply with the standards and requirements of the Program in order to remain participants in the Program. Applicants must participate in a formal interview process.
The purpose of the Program is to offer opportunities of growth for Southern Ute Tribal members within the Permanent Fund by providing a Program focused on gaining education and experience through on the job training.
It is not the intent of the Program to target certain positions or to involuntarily end an employee’s current job through displacement due to an Apprenticeship Program participant being moved into an occupied position.
An Apprentice may be hired/placed into the position for which they trained if a vacancy exists and upon satisfactory completion of the Program.
