Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the Unlawful Detainer Trial Department.
- Manage and coordinate trial preparation for unlawful detainer cases.
- Prepare and review trial documents, pleadings, and other litigation materials.
- Supervise and provide guidance to trial attorneys and trial support staff.
- Cook up and organize trial exhibits, witness lists, and supporting evidence.
- Ensure compliance with court deadlines, filing requirements, and trial procedures.
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop effective trial strategies and maintain case readiness.
- Attend hearings and trials, when appropriate, to provide litigation support and ensure smooth trial operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve trial workflows, processes, and departmental efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling unlawful detainer litigation.
- Demonstrated experience in trial preparation and litigation support.
- Strong knowledge of California unlawful detainer procedures and court practices.
- Prominent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
