Join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space as a Trial Attorney supporting the First-Party Property/CAT Team. This role focuses on insurance defense litigation while contributing to financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation, influencing enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including motions and courtroom advocacy.
• Gather and organize evidence and legal research for various legal proceedings.
• Conduct legal research on laws and case precedents, preparing summaries and reports.
• Prepare and draft various legal documents, including pleadings and discovery responses.
• Interview clients and witnesses, summarizing their statements and maintaining communication records.
• Attend court hearings and legal proceedings to assist and represent clients where necessary.
• Monitor changes in laws and update the legal team on impacts to ongoing cases.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• Eager to develop courtroom and litigation experience; ideally suited for those early in their careers.
• Completion of courses in legal research, writing, and analysis, showcasing ability to conduct thorough legal research.
• Demonstrated strong time management skills to balance multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Ability to organize case files and manage legal documents, with a solid understanding of the discovery process.
• Skilled in client communication, including preparing summaries and maintaining interaction records.
• Knowledgeable in legal ethics and professional conduct standards.

Pay

$100,000 – $121,475 annually.
