About the role
Job Description
Triage - Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Bohemia, NY
Hours/Days: M-F (8.5hr Shifts)
Organization: New York Cancer And Blood Specialists (NYCBS)
In This Role, You Will:
- Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
- Must possess strong critical thinking skills to evaluate patient symptoms rapidly and make informed decisions about their care priorities.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
- Ability to convey information clearly and compassionately.
- Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.
- Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.
- Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis.
- Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
- Complete MAR after treatment.
- Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.
- Complete injections.
Requirements
We Require:
- A Valid New York State RN License.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with an EMR (preferred).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Salary starting at $48 per hour based on experience
