The OBGYN Triage Nurse (LPN) provides professional clinical care for patients following established standards and practices. They also provide extensive OBGYN triage via telephone. Responsibilities
- Performs extensive triage of OB/GYN patients via phone and calls patients with test results.
- Performs fetal non-stress test (NST).
- Prepares patients for examination and assists physician during treatment/procedures, examinations and testing of patients.
- Records patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
- Measures, records and documents vital signs.
- Where applicable, performs phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection per established policies and procedures as directed by the provider.
