Tri-Axle CDL Drivers

Tri-Axle CDL Drivers position based in Pocono Lake, PA at the Pocono Lake Division of the H&K Group, Inc. This role is critical for transporting materials from Locust Ridge Quarry and Asphalt.

About the role

The Pocono Lake Division seeks experienced and motivated CDL drivers with Hazmat endorsement. This position emphasizes reliability and attentiveness, including maintaining truck logs and vehicle upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Performs all work according to FMCSA and H&K Safety policies
• Drives truck to destination and prepares receipts for loads
• Maintains truck log according to state, federal, and company regulations
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions
• Loads and unloads truck
• Performs daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
• One year of commercial driving experience
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Able and willing to work a 2nd shift schedule
• Problem-solving ability
• Ability to pass fit test and utilize appropriate PPE
• Ability to meet physical job requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 3+ years of commercial driving experience
• Tanker endorsement for liquid asphalt
• TWIC card
• Experience in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or outdoor industrial setting
• Asphalt plant or heavy road construction experience
• OSHA or other relevant safety certification

• Rarely requires weekend work
