Tri-Axle CDL Drivers

Tri-Axle CDL Drivers position in Hazleton, PA with the Hazleton Division of The H&K Group, Inc. This role focuses on moving equipment and materials throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania, emphasizing reliability, attentiveness, and daily responsibilities such as maintaining truck logs and vehicle upkeep.

About the role

The Hazleton Division of The H&K Group, Inc. is a proud member of our heavy civil construction team, strategically located in Humboldt Industrial Park just north of Hazleton, PA. We provide complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with a focus on safety, speed, quality, efficiency, and value. Our team serves Luzerne, Carbon, Schuylkill, Columbia, Northumberland, Montour, and Monroe Counties.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work adhering to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Drive truck to destination
• Prepare receipts for load pick up
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions
• Load and unload truck
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
• Perform daily pre and post trip of vehicle
• Tarp all loads when public roadway travel is necessary
• Trim all loads prior to tarping when necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
• Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
• Valid Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• Customer Service and Teamwork skills
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of commercial driving experience
• 3 years of triaxle driving experience (strong preference)
• TWIC card preferred with CDL class A
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
• Manual transmission experience
• Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
• MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

• Noise level is usually loud
