Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is seeking a Trimmer to provide line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide line clearing and tree trimming services, including pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal, and removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
• Operate as an active crew member alongside ground crew and foreman, performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully.
• Conduct pruning, thinning, and removal of deadwood throughout the tree canopy.
• Properly maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.

Requirements

• Love of the outdoors.
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights.
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Ability to complete Davey’s first aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire.
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses or certificates, if required by state law.
