Tree Trimmer/Arborist, Walt Disney World

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled routine arboriculture maintenance
• Operate Forklifts, Lull, box truck, ladder work, work at heights
• Climb trees using a rope and saddle
• Operate tools and equipment to include chainsaws, chippers and aerial work platforms (AWP) and bucket trucks
• Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies

Requirements

• Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years experience within Horticulture or Agriculture subject areas
• Able to meet requirements for climbing aerial rescue guidelines
• Familiar with industry safety standards (ANSI Z133) and procedures (ANSI 300)
• Knowledge of southern tree species
• Able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
• Must possess a valid CDL Class 'A' license with air brakes endorsement, or obtain a permit prior to hire.
• 3rd shift role

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Has ISA certification or obtain within a year of employment
• Valid CDL Class “A” with air brakes endorsement
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
• Great teammate
• Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices
• Proficiency in all aspects of tree transplanting and loading, tree pruning including natural and geometric styles, proper tree planting

Pay and Benefits
