About the Role

Provides safe, compassionate nursing care in a cancer treatment setting, utilizing the nursing process for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Administers chemotherapy, medications, and blood products while supervising unlicensed assistive personnel. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety, contributing to high-quality patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered nursing care independently
• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and blood products accurately
• Supervise and direct unlicensed staff
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team for continuity of care
• Promote safety and a positive patient experience

Requirements

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred
• Current CPR certification; OCN/ONS certification preferred
• Experience in oncology or outpatient infusion centers is a plus
