About the role
The Treatment Coordinator at Pressley Ridge is responsible for partnering with families and community members to address the therapeutic needs of a designated caseload of children. Services include individualized treatment planning, family involvement, and coordination of community resources.
Responsibilities
- Affirms the needs of the birth family and empowers them through systems education and advocacy training.
- Involves the biological family in all aspects of treatment planning and regularly updates on the youth's progress.
- Coordinates regular contact between the child and his/her biological family as appropriate.
- Works collaboratively with other service providers to develop and implement intervention procedures.
- Maintains regular communication with the youth’s treatment team and other significant community figures.
- Represents the agency in court matters involving the youth.
- Maintains detailed documentation of in-home and other ongoing training activities.
- Prepares written summaries, Individual Service Plans, and quarterly updates, discharge summaries, and program contracts regarding youth and families.
- Supports and trains TFC parents directly and supervises their activities.
- Provides 24-hour emergency “on-call” service to TFC families.
- Assists in the arrangement of respite services.
- Develops each youth’s treatment team, linking them to appropriate pro-social activities.
- Demonstrates cultural sensitivity and responds promptly to complaints/concerns from TFC parents.
- Assesses each child’s needs across all life domains and develops measurable treatment plan goals.
- Advocates for and supports the child’s educational needs, initiating and coordinating necessary therapeutic services.
- Maintains regular contact with each youth to assess safety and well-being.
- Safeguards the child’s health by ensuring they complete an independent living assessment and follow procedures for child illness and routine healthcare.
- Develops and monitors an individual safety plan for each child.
- Supports crisis intervention efforts to protect youth, staff, and property.
- Maintains safe driving procedures when transporting youth.
- Confirms that youth have completed an independent living assessment for life skills.
- Sets up assessments for scoring.
Requirements
- Valid state driver’s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
- Two (2) years of supervised experience with children and/or families.
- Clearances: State Police, FBI, Child Abuse Clearances, CPSL Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
Qualifications
- Education/Credentials/Licensure: Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
- Experience: Two (2) years of supervised experience with children and/or families.
- Clearances: State Police, FBI, Child Abuse Clearances, CPSL Mandated Reporter-Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and proficiency in using electronic/office equipment are essential. Cultural sensitivity and the ability to handle multiple tasks and make quick decisions are also critical.
