Treasury Services Officer

About the role

The Treasury Services Officer is responsible for building strong partnerships across all business lines with a focus on providing treasury and account management support to the Bank’s CRB (Cannabis Related Business) customers while expanding and retaining existing customers. This position directly contributes to the Bank’s deposit growth goal by ensuring customers’ needs are fully met while providing the best possible customer experience.

The ideal candidate must have a solid banking background with expertise in Treasury Services products and exceptional customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in business development and client servicing activities for all indirect and direct cannabis prospects and customers, providing consultative cash-flow assessments and recommendations of the Bank’s products and services.
• Prepare account-analysis pro-formas and proposals and drive collaboration between business lines to deliver the best possible new-customer experience.
• Facilitate onboarding of all new customer relationships through the Shield platform, including opening accounts and implementing treasury-management services.
• Train customers in the Shield Assure compliance platform post account-opening.
• Provide additional service to Commercial and Business Banking customers on all deposit and treasury-management needs with support from the Operations Team.
• Monitor customer relationships and perform relationship reviews on the Bank’s cannabis customers; present findings and recommendations to enhance relationships and retention.
• Act as liaison between CRB customers and internal bank departments (BSA, Compliance, Operations, Retail).
• Manage risk exposure relative to treasury-management services.
• Provide timely and responsive customer service by meeting agreed-upon deadlines and commitments.
• Proactively participate in partners’ team and sales meetings, providing input, training, and assistance in developing business.
• Support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner and represent the Bank with integrity.
• Work closely and collaboratively with other departments, treating all employees with respect.
• Maintain knowledge of treasury-management policies and procedures and follow all bank policies, compliance regulations, and cannabis-banking requirements.
• Assume responsibility for special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or finance preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Three to five years of cash management or treasury services within the banking industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and other database software.
• Strong time-management, contact-management, and records-management skills.
• Knowledge of key bank regulations—Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures, and related programs—especially as they relate to cannabis banking.

Physical Demands

The employee will operate in a general office environment, using office equipment such as a phone and computer. Occasional bending and squatting may be required when accessing equipment. This position requires local travel to visit client and potential-client businesses in a variety of industries and work environments. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate. The employee must be able and willing to interact frequently with the general public.

Pay

$77,000–$100,000 per year.
