Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO)

This role plays a critical part in driving the bank’s growth and profitability by closing new business opportunities and deepening client relationships. The Treasury Management Sales Officer focuses on businesses in the $2mm–$20mm revenue space within an assigned market, articulating cash-cycle details, demonstrating Treasury Management principles, and educating customers on fraud-mitigation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Bankers and Virtual Business Bankers in assigned markets.
• Schedule and attend calls with prospects and existing customers to generate new Treasury Management and deposit business.
• Achieve or exceed specific production goals.
• Manage and successfully close new business from banker referrals.
• Propose appropriate financial services through a consultative sales approach.
• Proactively identify deepening opportunities with existing customers.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, including negotiated pricing.
• Set expectations with customers about the onboarding experience, including requirements and testing.
• Prepare and execute implementation documentation to establish new services.
• Coordinate with the Onboarding Team to ensure a smooth enrollment process; manage issues if they arise.
• Perform timely follow-up on newly implemented treasury management services to ensure client satisfaction and understanding.
• Collaborate with the Treasury Management Client Services team to deliver exceptional service and a seamless banking experience.
• Assist Business Bankers in understanding treasury management product risk and applying Capital One Bank’s policies throughout the sales cycle.
• Maintain and update the bank’s SRM system regarding sales calls, pipelines, closed sales, etc., to generate monthly activity reports tracking sales and revenue growth by market segment.

• Work effectively with external and internal partners (e.g., sales support, onboarding, and servicing).

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of Treasury Management Sales experience.
• At least 2 years of Banking experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience (preferred).
• 5+ years of Treasury Management Sales experience (preferred).

Pay

The annual full-time salary ranges for this role are listed below by location. Part-time salaries will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.

• McLean, VA: $134,400 – $153,300
• Richmond, VA: $122,100 – $139,400
• Edison, NJ: $146,600 – $167,300
• Houston, TX: $122,100 – $139,400
• Lafayette, LA: $122,100 – $139,400
• Mandeville, LA: $122,100 – $139,400
• New York, NY: $146,600 – $167,300
• Plano, TX: $122,100 – $139,400

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. The actual annualized salary offered will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
