Treasurer/Finance Director

The City of Saline is seeking a full-time Treasurer/Finance Director to join our dynamic team and champion our vision for the future. Serving under direction of the City Manager, this position willPrepare and present the City's fiscal year budgetPlan and direct the collection, custody, investment, and disbursement of City fundsReview all City department financial activitiesMonitor, analyze and coordinate investments, bonds, loans, and lease purchasesPrepare periodic reportsSupervise the City's water and sewer billing functionsCoordinate the City's annual audit RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, public administration, or economics; a Master of Public Administration (MPA) is highly preferred3 years of experience as a Director, Manager, or Supervisor3 years of direct experience with municipal finance or accounting3 years of direct experience performing an annual municipal audit or coordinating an audit with an audit firmMichigan Certified Professional Treasurer (MiCPT)Certified Public Finance Officer (CFPO) – preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) – preferredCertified Management Accountant (CMA) – preferredCertified Internal Auditor (CIA) – preferredMember of Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MGFOA) or Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Please see the City's website for full job description and to apply.
