Traveling Underground Utilities Excavator Operator

Department: OperationsLocation: Charlotte, NC Description We are currently searching for a Utility Excavator Operator to work with our utility crews in Charleston, SC. Key Responsibilities Ensure work is excavated to the proper requirements, depth/grade, etc.Backfill pipeComply with all company and site specific policies and proceduresSafe and efficient operation of equipmentPerform routine inspections, safety walk-arounds, and preventative maintenance on assigned equipmentMaintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concernsComplete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation as requiredMay perform other related duties as assigned Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Must have experience of operating excavators on a utility crewMust be able to climb in and out of equipment unassistedMust have and maintain a valid driver's licenseFrequently lift 20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 poundsMust be willing and able to travel to other project sites throughout the Southeastern U.S. as neededAbility to have a flexible work schedule, including working overtime and weekends as needed Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401K with company matchPTO, holidays, and paid winter shutdownProfessional development and career growth opportunities
