Traveling Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer

About the role

Join the Jackson HealthPros team as an Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you’ll use your expertise to operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images that are used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce high quality images
• Work closely with physicians to interpret diagnostic results
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of findings
• Adhere to strict infection control protocols
• Document patient information accurately and securely

Requirements

• National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International
• 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer
• BLS Certification
• ARDMS (OB) with (FE) certification required
• Experience in High Risk OB, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Obstetrics required
• Experience with GE Voluson E10 required
• Fetal skills required: Abdomen, Abdominal Circumference, Bone lengths, Cerebellum, Ventricles, Diaphragm, Duodenal Atresia/Intussusception, Fingers/Toes, Gender, Head & Heart
• OB/GYN skills required: 1st - 3rd Trimester, Amniotic fluid index, Fetal Anatomical Survey, Fetal Echo, Inter/Intra-Orbital Measurements, Multiple pregnancy, Nuchal Translucency Screen, Placenta Previa & Umbilical Cord Doppler

Qualifications

• Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must have current BLS Certification
• Must have current ARDMS (OB) with (FE) certification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
