Traveling Teller (20 Hour) - Western Salt Lake

About the role

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department consists of traveling tellers and bankers who support branches across a geographical area when absenteeism occurs. The role provides a broad skill set in banking fundamentals and networking opportunities while helping branches meet strategic objectives and the company’s vision. This position primarily supports branches in western Salt Lake and Tooele County, with occasional travel to locations as far north as Centerville/Bountiful, east to Park City, Kamas, and Coalville, and south to Draper and Riverton.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
• Identify and address client needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing/activating ATM cards, conducting money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
• Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to alternative branch or bank resources.
• Identify and maximize cross‑sell opportunities by exploring client needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience in cashiering, customer service, balancing, or related banking functions.
• Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and banking procedures.
• Solid balancing and customer service skills.
• Ability to cross‑sell bank products based on client needs.
• Experience selling products and services based on customer needs is preferred.

Pay

Minimum pay is $17 per hour. Mileage compensation is provided for travel exceeding 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home.
