About the role
A growing design-build contractor seeks multiple Traveling Superintendents to support continued growth across the Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast regions.
Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
- Lead subcontractors and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget
- Cook daily activities with project management teams and key stakeholders
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure adherence to project specifications
- Conduct site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting
- Manage retail projects including remodels, expansions, and ground-up developments
- Foster strong client relationships while maintaining a high level of professionalism on-site
Requirements
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
- Proven experience delivering retail construction projects
- Background in big-box retail, open-store remodels, store expansions, or ground-up developments
- Experience managing projects ranging from approximately $3 million to $10 million
- Exposure to national retail clients and fast-paced project environments
- Strong scheduling, coordination, and subcontractor management skills
- Able to travel throughout an assigned region as project needs require
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- Proficiency with construction management software and digital reporting platforms
