Traveling Sprinkler Foreman (Southeast)

About the role

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Sprinkler Foreman (Southeast) to join our Fire Protection Services Team, supporting projects throughout the Southeast region in Tampa, FL; Coral Springs, FL; Richmond, VA; or Concord, NC.

Responsibilities

• Lead the layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping systems and fire pumps for commercial and industrial buildings
• Oversee on-site work crews, ensuring installations comply with NFPA standards, local codes, and customer requirements
• Conduct hydrostatic testing to verify system functionality and identify leaks
• Perform final inspections with the local, state, and county AHJ’s
• Serve as a technical expert for the team, interpreting work specifications, fire codes, and training junior team members to ensure consistency in project execution
• Maintain positive client relationships and clear communication on project status including relaying potential change orders or service needs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 7 years of industry experience required
• Strong knowledge of the fire protection industry including wet and dry fire sprinkler systems, NFPA standards, local codes, and best practices
• Proven leadership skills with prior experience overseeing field crews
• Proficiency in reading and redlining fabrication drawings
• Excellent communication skills and a positive customer service attitude
• Ability to work independently, adapt to various physical work environments, and lift heavy objects
• Valid driver’s license required; must be willing to travel
• OSHA 30 training required or must obtain within 30 days of employment

Benefits

• Salary Range: $35.00 - $40.00
• Based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
