Traveling Retail Merchandiser Team Lead

About the role

You will serve as an in-store merchandising leader supporting grocery retailers. This role involves frequent travel with regular overnight hotel stays.

Responsibilities

• Complete category resets, build displays and end caps
• Rotate and date-check product, place and correct tags
• Ensure shelves meet store and planogram standards
• Identify out-of-stock conditions, organize backstock and discontinued items
• Work directly with store leadership during project initiatives
• Use company technology or your own device to track progress, capture photos, communicate issues, and complete required reporting
• Assist in training new teammates and support basic scheduling needs
• Provide general in-store operational oversight

Requirements

• 18 years or older
• Comfortable interacting with customers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
• Can perform physical work including moving, bending, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Interested in traveling within and outside of your home state, with overnight hotel stays
• Reliable transportation to and from work location
• 1-2 years of merchandising experience
• Experience leading and training people
• Can use your smartphone or tablet to record work after each shift
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with clients, customers, and team members
• Motivated self-starter with a strong bias for action and results
• Work independently but also possess successful team-building skills
• Ability to perform job duties with a safety-first mentality in a retail environment
