About the Role
This position is responsible for providing treatment to patients in facilities by collaborating with the DDS, clinical coordinator, and facility staff. Registered Dental Hygienists complete on-site hygiene services and work with clinical support managers and nursing home staff to ensure patient and facility needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Review patient lists prior to visits and ensure all supplies and equipment are available.
- Arrive on time, check in with the dental contact, and review the list of patients to be seen.
- Transport, set up, and take down equipment and supplies in the designated workspace.
- Coordinate with nursing home staff to transfer patients and their charts to and from the treatment room; escalate issues to the clinical support manager if needed.
- Perform required care, including taking X-rays, cleaning teeth and dentures, applying sealants, and assessing oral health to report findings to the dentist, following all ADA and company standards of care.
- Explain procedures to patients as they are completed and follow up with facility staff to review recommendations.
- Enter chart notes for treatment provided into Salesforce at the time of treatment.
- Ensure OSHA safety and cleanliness regulations are followed during patient treatment.
- Handle disposables correctly before leaving facilities.
- Check out with the dental contact, review chart notes, and leave printed copies for patient charts.
- Work with the clinical support manager on scheduling and follow-up of patient care.
- Maintain dental equipment through regular cleaning and maintenance routines.
- Inventory supplies and order as needed.
- Follow regulated OSHA guidelines for handling and sterilization of instruments.
- Utilize a personal vehicle for transporting equipment, supplies, and traveling to scheduled facility visits.
- Be available via cell phone during the workday.
- Expense purchases for office needs, unforeseen supply purchases, and other reimbursable business-related expenses.
Requirements
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing in the state of employment.
- Five years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last 5 years.
- Must have reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to push/pull ±200 lbs. (e.g., patients in wheelchairs).
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds in and out of your vehicle and roll it in and out of facilities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Efforts & Working Conditions
- Able to lift, transport, set up, and take down mobile equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull ±200 lbs. (e.g., patients in wheelchairs).
- Able to drive to locations within 2.5 hours or stay overnight with company-provided lodging and travel meals for locations up to 3 hours away.
Location
This position covers the home market, including driving 20 minutes to 2.5 hours. You are paid for all drive time over 30 minutes each way, and mileage reimbursement is provided for all miles driven. This is a part-time position, working 2 days per week.
